Fingers Crossed for Kick-Ass 2

A little late but…

I finally watched Kick-Ass! And just in time because Kick-Ass 2 should be in theaters this summer.

I must admit I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed Kick-Ass. I didn’t expect much from it; I guess that’s why I didn’t get around to watching it until recently. I mean– I wouldn’t be outraged that it wasn’t nominated for an Academy Award, but it was entertaining. I can appreciate that.

I’m not a comic book fangirl. My thing is movies. So before this movie came out, I didn’t know about “Kick-Ass,” the comic book. I knew nothing of the characters or the story. I had the impression it might even be a movie for kids… Yea, no. There is a good amount of violence and gore, which explains the R rating. I loved it!

May I just say, Chloë Grace Moretz kicks the most ass in this movie! Or it could just be that she got the best kick ass scenes and that Hit Girl is a kick ass character. See for yourself:

Okay yea… Chloë is pretty fucking awesome.

And soon we’ll see more in Kick-Ass 2!
But will it be just as good? Will it be just as violent? Some more strong language maybe? Let’s hope so!

Here’s what we have to look forward to:

  • Red Mist returns with a vengeance as The Mother Fucker.
  • There are some interesting add-ons to the cast: Donald Faison, John Leguizamo, and Jim Carrey as Colonel Stars and Stripes.

      Hey! Thanks for your comment.
Yea, it helped that I had no expectations at all. Plus, I had too much fun seeing a little girl curse and kick butt. Is that wrong? lol Ah, fuck it.

      Thanks for your comment, Melissa!
I’m also drawn to comic book films, even though I’ve never read one– except for maybe Archie… Shhh…
But I guess it’s never too late to start, right? 🙂
